Admissions Guide

For International Students

Since the college started to enroll international students in 2013, it has cultivated a total of about 800 international students from more than 20 countries. For international students, the school offers three-year diploma study, one-year Mandarin course and flexible academic system of techniques and handicrafts workshop training, specializing in textiles and garments, construction engineering, logistics management, art design etc.; combining its own specialized intangible cultural heritage, the school has built its own 23 international exchange courses, such as "Handmade Dyeing & Printing and Digital Printing & Dyeing", "Shu Brocade & Shu Embroidery", "Handmade Knitting", "Handmade Qipao Customization". Special courses, as vocational and technical skills training and elective courses for academic students; cooperation with enterprises to carry out order cultivation, the implementation of domestic and foreign job training courses; at the same time, cooperation with domestic institutions to carry out international students to higher education programs, regularly carry out international students "Chinese plus" study activities, and organizations to participate in China ASEAN Education and Exchange Week activities, a variety of vocational skills, cultural exchanges, and Chinese language exchange. The school also organize various vocational skills, cultural exchange and Chinese language competitions. The school has been awarded as an advanced unit in international student education and management by Sichuan Higher Education Society of International Students Management Branch for many times, and many teachers have been awarded as advanced individuals.

Requirements for Applicants

Advanced Diploma Programme (Three-Year)

1. High school diploma and a copy of the highest academic degree certificate and transcript (certificates in other languages must be accompanied by the corresponding notarized Chinese or English translation);

2. Copy of passport or foreign nationality certificate;

3. Health certificate;

4. Certificate of no criminal record;

5. ^※Recommendation letter from the school where you graduated.

6. Other relevant documents.

Note: Applicants must be fluent in Chinese or English as the communication language. Applicants with a basic knowledge of Chinese will be given priority.

Students for Mandarin language courses (One-Year)

Required documents for admission application

Application for Specialist Education Programme (3 years)

1. Copies of higher education certificates (certificates in other languages must be accompanied by notarised translations into Chinese or English);

2. Copy of passport or proof of foreign nationality;

3. Health certificate;

4. Certificate of non-criminal record;

5. ^※Letter of recommendation from graduated school or institution.

6. Other relevant documents.

Note: Applicants can use English as a language of communication.

Application for Technical Training Program (Flexible Academic Structure)

1. Copies of higher education certificates (certificates in other languages must be accompanied by notarised translations into Chinese or English);

2. Copy of passport or proof of foreign nationality;

3. Health certificate.

4. Other relevant documents.

Note: Applicants can use English as a language of communication.

※ Recommendation letters are not compulsory. Applicants with a recommendation letter issued by the International Office of the graduating school will be given priority for admission.

Technical Training Courses (flexible academic structure)

CDTC offers technical training courses exclusively for the international students, featured as:

·Small class sizes

·Varied length of study: 30—180 hours

·Experienced, qualified teachers

·Cultural & Field trips may be included

Scholarship Information

The college offers international students with below scholarships:

1. Sichuan Provincial Government Scholarship for International Student, for detailed information, please refer: www.csc.edu.cn;

2. Chengdu “Belt and Road” Scholarship, for detailed information, please refer: www.cdedu.gov.cn;

3. Scholarship of Chengdu Textile College (CDTC), which awards RMB 15,000 yuan per year to each academic student and RMB 10,000 yuan per year to each student of advanced Chinese language study.

Please Note：Scholarships are subject to an application system and will be selected and awarded based on the enrolment ratio. Details are in accordance with the Measures for the Administration of Scholarships for International Students of Chengdu Textile College.
