On May 24, the 2025 Textile and Garment Industry-Education Integration and Education Overseas Conference was held in Foshan, Guangdong. The college president Sun Rui led a team to attend the conference and share experiences. Related teachers from the School of Apparel and the International Exchange Office attended the meeting.
The conference was led by the China Textile Industry Federation, hosted by the China Textile and Garment Education Society and other units, and hosted by Guangdong Vocational and Technical College. Nearly 200 experts and representatives from domestic and foreign textile and clothing undergraduate, higher vocational, and secondary vocational colleges, industry-education integration communities, and industry companies attended the conference.
The conference focused on the two major topics of industry-education integration and education overseas. Yang Guangjun, deputy director of the International Department of the Vocational and Technical Education Clothing Center of the Ministry of Education, was invited to give a special report, and 15 scholars and experts from colleges and enterprises spoke out about industry-education integration and overseas in the field of textiles and clothing, interpreting policies, analyzing the current situation, sorting out problems, exploring paths, and looking forward to the future. Wonderful reports were shared.
At the roundtable meeting on education going global, Sun Rui shared the school's main practices of teaching and output, fully recognized the importance and necessity of the establishment of the alliance, and put forward constructive suggestions for the subsequent work of the alliance. He hoped that the alliance could play the role of a high-quality platform, unite all members in the textile and clothing field, and go global in an orderly manner. Sun Rui was also invited to light up the China Textile and Clothing Education Overseas Alliance with Ji Xiaofeng, President of the China Textile Education Society.
