On September 20, 2025, the "2025 International Advanced Materials Precision Forming Conference", hosted by Chengdu Textile College and organized by the Sichuan Provincial Engineering Center for Functional Development and Application of High-Performance Special Textile Materials, was held in Chengdu Tianfu New Area. More than 500 representatives from over 30 universities and industry institutions, including Sichuan University, Chongqing University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, from five countries such as the UK and Germany, attended the conference. The conference focused on high-end equipment, new materials, and advanced manufacturing, bringing together the latest research progress and industry development needs from home and abroad. Its aim was to serve high-end industries and accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into new productive forces.
Ren Yingwei, Secretary of the College Party Committee, attended the conference and delivered a speech. He introduced the college's long history and achievements, and elaborated on the college's mission of "serving the people and weaving beauty for the nation," emphasizing that the entire college is currently striving to create a distinctive, high-level vocational and technical college. Secretary Ren also shared the college's series of measures and achievements in promoting the "Chengdu Textile + " organized scientific research model, "building a number of high-level innovation platforms, and forming a powerful collaborative system to serve industrial innovation.
The conference invited seven renowned experts from home and abroad to deliver keynote speeches and set up 14 thematic forums, including advanced polymer manufacturing, additive manufacturing technology, and composite material molding mechanisms. Nearly 100 experts and scholars were invited to share their latest research progress, discuss technological breakthroughs, and expand cooperation channels.
More than 100 people, including doctoral students, key faculty members, and undergraduate students from the Provincial Engineering Research Center, the School of Light Industry and Materials, and the School of Textile Engineering, attended the conference.
